Minor changes are coming to Chilliwack’s waste collection schedule for the holidays.

Residents with Fridays as their regular garbage day, are asked to hold onto their waste materials and put it out for collection on Dec. 28, and on Jan. 4 instead of on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.

There will be no curbside pickup Emterra trucks on Friday, Dec. 25, or Jan. 1.

Regular collection stays in effect for those with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday collection days.

Also anyone whose garbage, recycling or compost was not picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Ryder Lake and the Eastern Hillsides due to fallen trees or inaccessible roads, is asked to place them back out for collection on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
