One person taken to hospital after crash Wednesday afternoon

At least one person was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle rollover on Stevenson Road near Vedder Road in Chilliwack Wednesday afternoon.

Members of the RCMP, the BC Ambulance Service and the Chilliwack Fire Department were on the scene around noon on Stevenson.

Fire crews were dispatched to use the Jaws of Life to extract a patient trapped in the vehicle that ended up on its side in the westbound lane of Stevenson Road near a pole.

Stevenson Road was blocked in both directions between Vedder Road and Dogwood Drive.
