Rescue workers have recovered a body on the west side of Harrison Lake following reports of a drowning this past Sunday.

On Monday morning (August 17), the RCMP dive team asked the public to avoid the area near the Hale Creek Recreation Site on Monday. Local Search and Rescue volunteers and EHS personnel were on the scene as well.

“RCMP and B.C. Coroner’s Service are in the early stages of their investigations of the incident,” a media liason officer from the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP stated on Monday afternoon.
