VIDEO: Trailer flipped on Highway 1 slowing traffic westbound

Popkum fire redirecting traffic after two accidents on highway 1

Although the region has been hoping for rain to help with the fires, when it finally arrived, it brought highway havoc with it.

At least two vehicles have been involved in two separate accidents on the Trans-Canada Highway between Bridal Falls and Chilliwack.

Near the eastbound Annis Rd. exit, ambulance is scene where on a truck and RV trailer have rolled into the ditch. And less than a kilometer down the road, also eastbound, is another accident where ambulance is also on scene.

Highway 1 is backed up westbound and the Popkum Emergency Fire Department is redirecting traffic at the Popkum exit as a result of the accidents.

More to come.
