More than 35 art camps at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre will keep kids creative and engaged during the summer months.

Give the kids an amazing, inventive, and creative school vacation this summer with Chilliwack Cultural Centre’s Summer Art Camps for Kids.

The ultimate way to break that summer boredom, solve those babysitting stresses and inspire young imaginations, The Centre’s Summer Art Camps for Kids are fun, flexible, and offer a full range of exciting artistic activities.

Running from July 11 to August 19, these classes are packed with everything from arts and crafts to performance, music, dance, and clay workshops. They’re the perfect fit for all kinds of young artists.

Whether your child loves getting crafty and creating with paper, stencils, or other mediums, there’s a whole range of themed crafting sessions; from Arrrt Round the World and Castles & Quests, to Flower Power and Summer Safari.

For those mini-musicians, there are plenty of opportunities to pick up ukulele, percussion, and other instruments, and for those that like getting their hands dirty, Magic Mud and Yay for Clay will be an exciting exploration of the world of ceramics.

There are over 35 different week-long classes to choose from, and with each putting a unique spin on a special art form. Kids are sure to come away from each super-creative class with a huge smile on their face, ready for another round of artistic excitement.

The smooth and simple class schedule makes it easy for busy parents to manage.

Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. with supervised breaks, Monday to Friday, for five weeks between July 11 and August 19. Each day is split into six blocks of 65 minute sessions, with four different classes running in each time slot.

Choose one class per time slot and your child will take part in that activity at that time for the full week. Sign up for a single class, two per day, or for a full week of fun and creativity.

Each class costs $35. Registering for a class means your child will participate in that activity at that time from Monday to Friday, meaning you get five fantastic and creative sessions for just $35.

The Centre’s Summer Art Camps for Kids are available for kids age 5 to 11. Most sessions are broken into categories for 5 to 7 and 8 to 11 year olds, allowing each child an art experience that’s catered to their age.
