Abbotsford man charged with two child porn offences

A 42-year-old Abbotsford man has been charged with child pornography offences following an investigation that eight months ago.

Sgt. Judy Bird said Abbotsford Police major crime detectives received information in April that an internet subscriber had uploaded child sexual abuse material online.

A search warrant was executed on Dec. 6 at an Abbotsford home, where various computer devices and cellphones were seized.

Subsequent search warrants were acquired, and evidence of child exploitation material was located, Bird said.

Jeremy Allen Willms was arrested on Monday and has since been charged with making child pornography available and possessing child porn.

He has been released from custody under court-ordered conditions that include:

– no contact or communication with any young person under the age of 18;

– not attending any public park, school ground, daycare center, swimming pool, playground, skating rink, community centre or rec centre where people under the age of 18 might be present or might reasonably be expected to be present;

– not possessing or using any electronic device capable of accessing the internet;

– not contacting or communicating with any person known to be involved in the sexual exploitation of children or in trading or possessing child sexual exploitation materials; and

– not accessing or possessing pornography of any kind.
