During the pandemic shut-down, many people had time to explore new ways of being, and reassessed what’s important to them. Self-care and relaxation are high on that list for many and yoga is a great way to look after the whole person.
First-timer to expert
If you’re new to yoga, experienced in the practice, or somewhere in between, Garrison Yoga has something to offer. Classes in therapeutic Restorative Yoga, for example, offer a gentle way to recover from injury and can be excellent for those who have mobility issues. Classes involve bolsters, blankets and props, to keep participants comfortable on the journey to a better, more relaxed, physically and mentally fitter person. This is a great way to restore and rebalance body and mind as well as gain new strength in a peaceful and supportive environment.
For the mom-to-be, staying active, fit and finding time to relax can be challenging. Prenatal yoga offers the chance to recharge, gain strength, and be healthy for you and your child.
Foundation classes focus on simplicity, repetition, ease of movement, principles of alignment, and developing body and breath awareness. They’re a perfect place to start.

Keen to learn more? A community yoga class is offered at no charge each Saturday and is suitable for all levels of practitioners from beginner to advanced. Each week, a different instructor offers their unique teaching style. Dedicated instructors are at the heart of the studio, and provide the best possible experience for each individual.
