Mother’s Day is around the corner — here’s the gift they really want!

Nothing beats quality time together. Have a meal with mom, with help from M&M

Quick! Mother’s Day is coming, and you have less than a week to find the perfect gift. Flowers? Candles? A neck massager?

Rahul Ajwani thinks it’s not about the gift, but more about finding a way to show your mom you appreciate her.

“I think dropping off a present and leaving for the day isn’t usually going to make moms as happy as spending time together,” says Ajwani, who gets to work alongside both his parents at M&M Food Market in Chilliwack. “Sharing a meal, doing something you enjoy together — that’s going to be a lot more meaningful.”

Going out for a luxurious Mother’s Day brunch isn’t an option right now, and cooking a meal from scratch might be a little too challenging for young children. But M&M Food Market gives you a third option.

“Pick up a healthy, delicious meal from M&M to prepare at home. Your mom will appreciate that you invested some time in her, and that you can enjoy the meal together.”

Happier together

If you’re not enjoying yourself, your mom won’t enjoy herself either. If you panic-shop right before Mother’s Day and then spend a stressful hour pulling together a fancy meal, you won’t have any energy left for the woman of the hour.

  • Breakfast in bed: The classic Mother’s Day meal, without the burnt toast and spilled coffee! Even little kids can bake a classic French style quiche for mom… with a little help from M&M Food Market.
  • Backyard BBQ: Serve the whole meal from the grill — lean beef burgers or boneless chicken breasts that are big on flavour and low on sodium and fat, herb and garlic asparagus in a BBQ-safe foil tray plus signature BBQ potatoes tossed with onions and herbs.
  • Just dessert: Skip the main course and go straight for dessert! If the weather’s warm, Ajwani recommends a frozen Tropical Fruit Bar, made with real fruit for natural, refreshing sweetness. Want to make sure you please the rest of the family, as well as mom? Pick up a Cheesecake Variety Pack featuring slices of Brownie, Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry Swirl, and Original New York-style cheesecake.
