Make Halloween special by serving an easy, nutritious meal from M&M Food Store!

If you’re keeping your ghosts and goblins close to home this Halloween but still want to make great memories, the Ajwanis want to help.

Naresh, Manju and Rahul Ajwani own M&M Food Market in Chilliwack, a store that’s always been kid-friendly.

“The moment a kid walks into the store we always take out a packet of mini eclairs,” Naresh Ajwani says. “Kids bring happiness to the store, so we always try to give them a treat.”

Ajwani says the store’s desserts are popular with kids of all ages, so if your child’s pillowcase of candy is going to be lighter this year, an M&M Food Store dessert might help. The store is full of nutrition-packed meals that are easy to prepare, giving you more time to spend with your family on Halloween, or any night. They even have fresh diced vegetables that you can add to any meal, flash-frozen to lock in flavour.

“Nobody likes to cut an onion — with our diced onions there are no tears!” Ajwani says. There are no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners at M&M Food Store, and flash-freezing preserves flavour and nutrition better than the home-freezing you do in your personal kitchen.

“There’s lots of variety as well, so there’s always a new meal for your kids to try.”

Kid-friendly tricks and treats

M&M Food Market has delicious, nutritious meals to entice the picky eater at your dining room table, and treat the whole family Halloween night. Meals are easy to prepare so you’ll have more time to spend with the ones you love —better yet, invite your kids into the kitchen to help!

  • Chicken Fajita Kit: “There’s not much cooking required with the Chicken Fajita Kit, so it’s easy to prepare with your children,” Ajwani says. Pull out the Chicken Fajita Kit on busy Halloween night when everyone’s on a different schedule and you need a healthy bite between spooky activities.
  • Lavalicious Chocolate Cake: “Put this triple-chocolate fudge cake in the microwave for 15 seconds to get that molten chocolate centre, then put a little ice cream on top — it’s so good!” Ajwani says. “Forget treats for the kids, this is a treat that turns adults into kids.”

Shop online for appetizers, soups, mains and more at mmfoodmarket.com, or read up on recipes and find meal inspiration. Stop by the store at #2 45609 Luckakuck Way in the Cottonwood Mall for great service from Naresh, Manju and Rahul Ajwani. Open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
