The Fraser Valley Women’s Expo returns with a new fall edition from Oct. 25 to 27 and will be held at Chilliwack Heritage Park.

With over 150 booths, this event brings a mix of shopping, wellness, and live entertainment centred around all things women love! The show runs from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27.

For Shannon Ross of Ross Trade Shows, the expo is a highlight of the season. “We’re excited to offer a new fall edition, giving attendees access to their favourite vendors and activities all in one place.”

The event will showcase everything from fashion and beauty to health and fitness. There are several wellness booths, including Seek Optimal Wellbeing, where naturopathic doctors will be available to answer questions about holistic health. Visitors can also enjoy interactive demos on the main stage.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to try something new, like salsa dancing or cooking classes,” says Ross.

Holiday shopping made easy

One of the expo’s biggest draws is the chance to get a head start on holiday shopping. The expo offers everything from artisanal crafts to gourmet food, “We’ve got an amazing lineup of local vendors, some handmade jewellery, eco-friendly products and even vertical gardens for your home,” adds Ross.

The event will also have food and drink options. You can sample all sorts of sweet & savoury snacks, try gluten-free recipes, or discover the benefits of nutrient-dense foods.

“We encourage visitors to support local, by shopping at our amazing small businesses and enjoying locally made products,” says Ross.

Entertainment and education

Beyond shopping, visitors can attend talks by experts on topics like holistic health, nutrition and personal empowerment. Highlights include Marlene Carr’s talk on managing diabetes and Dr. Ryan Lewis’s insights into reducing inflammation through naturopathic methods. Additionally, registered dietitian Renée Chan will teach attendees how to make gluten-free dumplings, demonstrating how healthy eating can be fun and delicious.

On Friday evening, the fashion show takes centre stage. Local boutiques will strut their latest collections, giving attendees a glimpse of upcoming trends. “The fashion show always draws a big crowd. It’s a fantastic way to spotlight local designers and give attendees a bit of entertainment after a day of shopping,” she says.

An accessible event for everyone

The Fraser Valley Women’s Expo aims to create an inclusive space. Whether it’s providing ample parking, easy access to facilities, or supporting community members, the event’s accessibility is a priority. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family and there are weekend passes available to make the experience more affordable. “We’re committed to making the expo an enjoyable experience for everyone,” Ross adds.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online or at the door. Single day tickets are $9 and a weekend pass is only $15 for all 3 days. “We’re thrilled to bring back this popular event, and we’re confident that this fall edition will be a memorable one.”
