Settle in for a holiday season filled with cheer as the Chilliwack Cultural Centre welcomes a festive selection of performances. From the return of the beloved Winter Harp to the unforgettable Celtic Christmas and more, December at The Centre has never been quite this lively!

On Dec. 8, The Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra celebrates the season with A Traditional Christmas! This annual showcase will be filled with much-loved Christmas carols and modern renditions of old favourites that will get you into the holiday spirit.

Through glorious music, stunning medieval attire and intricately carved instruments, Winter Harp will transport you to another time and place on Dec. 10. This supreme celebration of the seasonal spirit that has become a beloved tradition with its audiences, embraces the joyful spirit of the season. Outstanding musicians and singers perform a collection of music that ranges from familiar carols to Celtic and medieval music.

The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra continues to embrace the season with their unforgettable performance of Handel’s Glorious Messiah. On Dec. 13, you can experience the majestic beauty and timeless power of this masterpiece, brought to life by talented musicians and vocalists.

Get swept up in the holiday spirit with A Celtic Christmas on Dec. 14, as the North Shore Celtic Ensemble returns to The Centre! Magical arrangements, beautifully evocative songs, dazzling orchestral fiddle music and breathtaking exuberance take you on an exhilarating ride through a colourful and eclectic repertoire, whisking you into a winter wonderland.

Energetic and explosive, Ballet Victoria’s The Nutcracker balances dreamy fairy tale with stunning Russian ballet traditions. On Dec. 21, this beloved classic tale and holiday tradition is an ode to imagination and fantasy that will take you to the kingdom of sweets. Stepping into a world of unexpected wonders, colourful costumes, humour and dazzling dance, The Nutcracker will enchant and delight audiences of all ages.
