Autumn adventuring just got easier – and more enjoyable!

For the Fraser Valley's favourite fall activities, it's time to give the 2025 CX-50 Hybrid a spin

Here in the eastern Fraser Valley, outdoor adventure is a way of life. In the fall that means space to load up the fishing gear or bikes, and maybe tow the ATV to our favourite off-road destination. Come December, we're loading up the snowboards and sleds and heading for the mountains.

And when we're not adventuring, we need space for the kids, the hockey gear and Saturday morning soccer snacks – without breaking the bank on fuel to get everyone where they need to be!

In other words, it's time to meet Mazda's new 2025 CX-50 Hybrid.

The first hybrid for the long-popular CX-50, the 2025 model combines the best of the SUV – comfortable seating for five, easy handling, 1,595 L total cargo space and the ability to tow up to 680 kg (1,500 lbs) when equipped with Mazda genuine towing accessories – with innovative hybrid technology.

"The 2025 CX-50 Hybrid is a vehicle that will check all the boxes for many Chilliwack families," notes Murray Mazda General Manager Chris Emery. "If a roadtrip is in your fall plans, it will get you and all your gear where you need to go – plus you'll have fun getting there!"

With a 2.5 L 4-cylinder hybrid engine with 219 horsepower and 163 lb-ft torque, plus an e-AWD, Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission, the CX-50 Hybrid taps into Mazda's Mi-Drive technology for three drive modes, depending on the driving, road and vehicle conditions.

Power mode maximizes responsiveness, increasing vehicle response and accelerating powerfully, while Normal mode optimizes fuel efficiency. Switch into Trail mode on rough roads to prevent the drive wheels from spinning and improve the running performance. In short, your autumn adventuring will be no match for the CX-50.

Cruising the highway or the city, tapping into the electric motor will keep fill-ups at a minimum; when you do switch to gas, you'll enjoy a combined city / highway fuel-efficiency of 6.2 L/100 km.

Standard features include sliding, panoramic moonroof with one-touch open/close, power liftgate with programmable height, 10.25-inch full-colour centre display with Mazda Connect Infotainment System and wireless phone charger. And for those frosty Fraser Valley mornings, heated front seats and heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel.
