PHOTOS: Chilliwack Crusaders fall to Kelowna in last game of 2024

First half of season ended in losses for both men's and women's Division 2 rugby teams in Chilliwack

The Chilliwack Crusaders Rugby Club had a rough end to the first half of their 2024/2025 season.

Both the men's and women's teams lost to the Kelowna Crows on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Yarrow Sportsfield, with scores of 8-40 and 0-36, respectively.

With four wins and five losses, the men’s team is currently in seventh place out of 12 teams in BC Rugby’s men’s Division 2 standings. In the women’s Division 2, the Crusaders are in 11th place out of 16 teams with two wins, four losses, and one draw.

The Crusaders have a break now until the new year with both teams returning to the home field on Jan. 25 to take on Richmond for the second half of the season. The games will be at Yarrow Sportsfield (3635 Savoy Rd.) with the women's kick-off at 11:15 a.m., and the men starting at 12:45 p.m.
