The Grizzlies and the Falcons will both host big games at Exhibition Stadium this Friday (Oct. 11).
First up will be GW Graham's AAA team hosting the WJ Mouat Hawks at 4 p.m.
Grizzlies head coach Mike Hayes said his team is looking forward to the matchup against the "strong, well-coached" Hawks.
"GW Graham has been finding ways to win stringing together four straight and hope to keep that momentum going this Friday," he said. "We’ll need to get off to a strong start and on both sides of the ball... We expect a competitive game on Friday and welcome the challenge!"
At 7 p.m., the Sardis Falcons host Holy Cross Crusaders in a AA/AAA hybrid game.
Falcons head coach Sukh Parmar says it will be another exciting night at Exhibition for the team.
"It will be our varsity team’s senior night," he said. "As a football program, we are proud of our seniors and we want to recognize them. We started our junior varsity football program four years ago, and we are now graduating eight seniors from that original team in addition to others who have joined us over the last few years."
He said the players have improved each year, along with the program.
"We hope to play well against a good Holy Cross team," he added.
