Chilliwack swimmers bring home medals from BC 55+ Games

The Chilliwack Masters Swim Club brought home a boatload of medals from the BC 55+ Games. 

The team includes swimmers Lisa Buckham, Marnie Brown, Paula Quick and Neil Reeder. 

Reeder won five gold medals in the mens' 75-79 age division; in the 25-metre backstroke, 25-metre breaststroke, 25-metre freestyle, 50-metre breaststroke and the 50-metre freestyle. Reeder placed second in the 200-metre freestyle, and earned both a silver and a bronze medal in relays. 

Buckham brought won first place in her age division of 55-59, in both the 50-metre backstroke and 50-metre breaststroke. She also won four silver medals (100-metre breaststroke, 100-metre backstroke, 25-metre backstroke and the 100-metre individual medley.) She also won two golds in relay races. 

Brown earned gold in the 60-64 age division in the 200-metre freestyle, and three silver medals (400-metre freestyle, 800-metre freestyle, and 25-metre freestyle), along with two gold medals in relays. 

Quick won gold in her age division, 70-74, in the 800-m freestyle, along with two silver medals for the 400-metre freestyle and the 25-metre butterfly. She also won two silvers in relays. 

Chris Henao also competed in the BC 55+ Games, and won two bronze medals in the 65-69 age division, in the 25-metre breaststroke and the 50-metre breaststroke. 

Both Reeder and Buckham live in Abbotsford but swim in Chilliwack.
