The Chilliwack Chiefs will play host to two Alberta teams this weekend, marking the first time both teams have played at the Coliseum.
Friday night they'll face off against the Sherwood Park Crusaders (7 p.m.), and Saturday it's the Blackfalds Bulldogs (6 p.m.)
Friday night is also Country Night for the fans, featuring Canadian Country Music Artist Simon Clow. His hit songs are Wiser Than Me and 24 Reasons, he will be performing during the first intermission.
Also on Friday, Kirkland Douglas from Farming for Love will be dropping the puck. The reality star who lives in Rosedale will also be meeting and greeting fans during the first intermission.
Then on Saturday night, the Coliseum will be rocking, with the KISS tribute band Alive and Kissing on stage.
In other Chiefs news, the team has just signed on 2007-born defender Caden Campion. Campion, a 6’2" right-hand shot, comes to the Chiefs after starting the season with the Chicago Steel in the USHL.
A product of the Los Angeles Junior Kings program, the Chiefs say Campion is highly regarded and will add to their "already-deep defensive group."
“Caden is a player we really believe in long-term,” said Chiefs head coach, Brian Maloney. “He provides our back end with another right-handed option and aligns age-wise for us not only for this season but in the future. We are really happy with what we have seen from our defensive core and want to make sure we are doing everything we can as a staff to give our team the best chance to win down the stretch.”
