There is one last big push of 2024 to fill the shelves of the Chilliwack Salvation Army Food Bank, and this time it's up to local hockey fans.

The Chilliwack Chiefs host their annual Fill the Rink game Dec. 27 at the Chilliwack Coliseum. They'll face the Victoria Grizzlies and the puck drops at 7 p.m.

Fans are asked to bring in non-perishable food items, and everyone who does will be entered for a chance to win an autographed Chiefs jersey.

The Chiefs also host the Langley Rivermen Sunday, Dec. 29 at 5 p.m., which is also the annual Winter Beach Party. Fans can come out and enjoy the popular beach ball toss, limbo contest, and partake in some summer themed beverages up in the Molson Fan Deck.

Following the game, fans can hop on the ice and have some fun during the post-game skate with the Chiefs players. If you don’t have your own skates, rentals are available.
