Volunteers of Chilliwack are warming up to the idea of taking part in the Coldest Night of the Year hosted by the Ann Davis Transition Society.
“You still have time left to register,” Ann Davis officials posted in an update about the 2024 Coldest Night of the Year event set for Feb. 24.
This year they are aiming to raise $60,000.
Coldest Night is a “winterrific” family-friendly event to raise money for Ann Davis Transition Society, according to the online update, and it is their major fundraising event of the year.
So far 152 walkers, and 32 teams that have signed up to help by raising almost $28,000 so far.
“Team up, walk, and fundraise! It’s cold out there… but there’s no place like home.”
The Coldest Night is in its fourth year with Ann Davis as beneficiary in Chilliwack, and registration is on.
Volunteers can choose between a two-kilometre and five-kilometre route.
In 2023 they raised more than $62,000 with the help of 283 walkers, 39 teams and 48 volunteers.
