Chilliwack firefighters were called to a bus on fire Monday (Feb. 3) on James Street and First Avenue near downtown.

Multiple callers to 911 told officials the bus was "not occupied."

Bus owner Butch Clay commented online: "It was my bus, privately owned, just came back from a run. It must have been electrical, had no issues this morning."

Responders were heading to the scene at 9315 James Street to put out flames coming from the rear end of the bus.

The fire was out by 9:05 a.m.
