Chilliwack RCMP say body of man recovered from water in Manuel Park

A deceased man was found Tuesday afternoon in the water at Manuel Park by a member of the public.

RCMP say a body was found Tuesday in Chilliwack.

Chilliwack RCMP they won't be releasing the name of the deceased man found Tuesday (Sept. 24) in the water at Manuel Park.

They don't believe foul play was a factor.

Police say a member of the public reported finding the body of a man in the water across from Sardis Elementary in Chilliwack.

"Members of the Chilliwack RCMP attended along with the Chilliwack Fire Department who assisted in removing the body from the water."

The BC Coroners Service personnel attended and conducted examinations at the scene.

"The man has been identified but his name is not being released at this time. There is no indication of any foul play but the circumstances of the man’s death are still under investigation."

Victim services were available to assist those affected by the incident.
