UPDATE: Cyclist walks away with minor injuries after struck in Agassiz crosswalk

The cyclist struck by a vehicle early Tuesday (June 6) morning has come away with only minor injuries.

Witnesses in the area say the cyclist was crossing near the entrance Agassiz Elementary Secondary School – well within a school zone – when they were hit by a vehicle at about 8:30 a.m.. There was a bicycle on the sidewalk nearby.

Two RCMP vehicles were on the scene as well as an ambulance.
