A community open house at The Paramount is set for June 25 hosted by Chilliwack Community Services (CCS).

"We will be opening our doors to welcome anyone interested in checking out our new spaces, and sharing about our programs," said Kate Healey, executive director of Chilliwack Community Services.

The Paramount building was completed on Yale Road last winter, in part fulfilling a dream of CCS to address housing affordability in the community.

"We will be providing tours of the staff and residential spaces, as well as providing light refreshments," Healey said.
The event invitation is extended to everyone curious about the largest project in CCS's nearly 100-year history in Chilliwack.

Residential spaces found on the upper floors of the six-storey Paramount building include 66 units – eight studio apartments for youth ages 19 to 25, and 58 units for seniors.

The CCS offices are found on the first two floors the new building.

Paramount tenants and CCS administration began moving in as of April 2024.

Officials say the subsidized units are at full capacity at the moment, but there are some available for local seniors at market rental rates.

The Community Open House at The Paramount is June 25, 11 a.m to 3 p.m. with tours scheduled on the half hour, at #100-46187 Yale Rd, Chilliwack. www.comserv.bc.ca
