Nearly 20,000 voters have already turned out in Chilliwack-Hope.

Elections Canada has released data on the four days of early voting across Canada, broken down in each riding and province.

In Chilliwack-Hope, which now also includes parts of the District of Kent (Agassiz), 19,586 ballots were counted.

In B.C., a total of 813,126 ballots were counted.

Elections Canada has said this election has seen the highest national early voter turnout ever, with nearly 7.3 million electors voting already, according to their preliminary data. This represents a 25 per cent increase over advance polling in 2021.

General voting day is Monday, April 28.

While line-ups were reportedly to be hours-long in some locations in Chilliwack over the four days of early voting (April 18-21), there will be more polling stations open on general voting day. Those who haven't received their voter information card in the mail can find their voting location on the Elections Canada website.
