The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association are joining forces to present their All Candidates' Forum on Oct. 10 in the Chilliwack Cultural Centre HUB Theatre.

The all-candidates event is being held more than a week ahead of voting day in the provincial election on Oct. 19.

"This debate promises insightful exchanges on critical issues," say event organizers in the invitation. "Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from your local candidates and be part of the democratic process."

The evening will be moderated by Rachael Segal, a seasoned lawyer with extensive political experience, who is founder of 'Beyond a Ballot.'

The election forum will be divided into two segments of an hour and a half each, one for each provincial electoral riding.

The first half will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for Chilliwack-Cultus Lake candidates, and then the second from 7:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for Chilliwack North candidates.

Refreshments will be available to purchase.

The forum will be live-streamed online on YouTube for anyone who can't attend the event in the Cultural Centre.

The event is free for attendees but registration is required in advance.
