Helicopter called to Chilliwack River Valley after truck, motorbike collide

An Air Ambulance was dispatched to the Chilliwack River Valley after a motorbike and truck collided on a forest service road Thursday afternoon.

Emergency responders were called to the incident which happened on Bench Forest Service Road near Chipmunk Creek Forest Service Road around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.

Early reports stated that a person possibly suffered a cardiac arrest.

Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department, RCMP and BC Ambulance Services were all called to the scene.

The landing zone for the helicopter was being setup in a gravel pit near the Ford Mountain Correctional Centre off Chilliwack Lake Road.

By 4:20 p.m., the person was in the ambulance and being transported to the landing zone.
