Fuel truck goes off Hwy. 1 in Abbotsford; traffic at a crawl

Incident happened between Cole Road and No. 3 Road

Traffic was clogged in both directions along a portion of Highway 1 in Abbotsford after a fuel truck ended up in the median on Friday afternoon.

The incident happened some time after 1 p.m. on June 14 between Cole Road and No. 3 Road.

More than two and a half hours later, traffic was still backed up both eastbound and westbound even though the truck was not blocking the road, according to a witness.

The truck was travelling westbound at the time.
