Compost, garbage and recycling bins in Chilliwack.

Chilliwack residents are being asked to weigh in on the city's curbside recycling by way of a survey.

The City of Chilliwack has its Curbside Collection Survey 2025 open from March 12 to 17 which can be filled out by anyone on the city's curbside collection program.

"This survey will provide valuable insight that the city can take into consideration for its new curbside collection contract," according to the city's website.

The short, three-question survey focuses on the frequency of recycling collection, and the possibility of adding flexible plastics to the collection program.

Currently, flexible plastics – such as plastic bags, zipper-lock pouches, bubble wrap, plastic overwrap, and more – are not permitted in the city's curbside collection program; they must be taken to a recycling depot.
