A drive-thru will be set up to collect holiday stocking stuffers for local seniors in Chilliwack on the morning of Nov. 20.

There will be refreshments on offer in the drive-thru setup outside Evergreen Hall as a little incentive from the Chilliwack and District Seniors' Resources Society.

"Grab a free coffee and a muffin and drop off a donation for our Annual Christmas Stocking Program," said Kelly Velonis, executive director of Chilliwack and District Seniors' Resources Society.

They'll be graciously accepting stockings, toiletries, treats, socks, gloves, toques, as well as cash to purchase gifts, puzzle books, tea, sweets, and more from the public.

"We prepare and give away more than 200 stockings to low-income seniors in our community, and for some this is the only Christmas item they will receive," Velonis said.

The drive-thru is Wednesday (Nov. 20) between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. in the front parking lot at Evergreen Hall.
