Dog rescued from mobile-home fire in Popkum

A fire broke out at a mobile home at Bridal Falls RV Resort on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025.

Firefighters rescued a dog from a fire at a mobile home in Popkum on Friday.

The call came in around 12:25 p.m. after a witness saw smoke in the window of the home on Bridal Falls Road on Jan. 24.

Crews with the Popkum Fire Department were called to the scene at Bridal Falls RV Resort where they were able to gain access and remove a dog that was inside.

Initial reports were that no one was inside the home when firefighters arrived.

BC Ambulance Service was also on scene, and RCMP was called to attend.
