Spectators take in the Fraser Valley Classic Car Show at Canada Education Park on Chilliwack's UFV Campus on June 9, 2024.

Following a hiatus in 2023 the Fraser Valley Classic Car show made its return to Chilliwack this year.

The show took place on June 9 at the Canada Education Park on Chilliwack’s UFV campus. Leading up to the event, the organizing committee determined it would run rain or shine, but lucky for all involved, the sun made an appearance as well.

A flock of spectators were on-hand to take in the 155 cars put on display as well as the various vendors, food trucks, door prizes and raffles in what was considered a successful return of the show.

This year’s show raised a grand total of $19,000 which was donated to the Chilliwack General Hospital through the Fraser Valley Healthcare Foundation. A portion of this year’s funds raised came from a raffle for a 1962 MGB which brought in over $10,000. The car had been graciously donated by a member of the Fraser Valley British Motor Club.

“We are happy to have the Fraser Valley British Motor Club as a partner supporting health care in Chilliwack,” said Liz Harris, executive director of the Fraser Valley Healthcare Foundation. “The turnout was fantastic and we look forward to next year’s show.”
