A Vancouver power pop quartet managed to catch a sasquatch on camera while shooting a music video in Agassiz-Harrison.
Autogramm prominently featured Sasquatch Mountain Resort – along with the legendary primate himself – in their music video that just dropped on Friday, Nov. 17. The video is for the song “Born Losers,” from their first album in two years, “Music That Humans Can Play.”
The music video, directed by Tyler McLeod, features the quartet enjoying a day of skiing on the mountain while the sasquatch occasionally cavorts through the snow and – spoiler alert – ultimately partying with the band until the wee hours of the morning.
“Born Losers” is a song about being an outsider and finding your place in the world. The chors of “We’re all born losers until someone let’s us win, we’re all just outsiders until somebody lets us in” encourages the listener to keep looking for their bliss, and eventually it will be found.
Music on “Music That Humans Can Play” was written during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and draws influence from such acts as Cheap Trick, The Fixx and David Bowie with a decidedly 80s feel.
Autogramm has performed internationally throughout Canada, Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom and across Europe.
Sasquatch Mountain Resort is located at 20955 Hemlock Valley Road. To learn more about skiing in the area and everything else the resort has to offer, visit sasquatchmountain.ca.
