Bibliophiles are invited to unwrap a surprise book, find a new reading adventure, and meet fellow book-lovers at an upcoming event in Chilliwack.
The Art of Reading will be at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Book-lovers will get to choose a beautifully wrapped, unknown book with only a few intriguing clues to hint at its contents. Will one end up with a thrilling mystery, a heartwarming romance, or perhaps a mind-bending sci-fi?
The selections have been curated by the staff at The Book Man.
People can soak up the cozy ambience while mingling with fellow book enthusiasts. Additionally, folks can savour coffee by Smoking Gun Coffee Roasters and get creative at the book crafts station where people will be guided through making book-themed art.
Bookmarks will be provided by TinkerTal Illustrations, Julia Jane Martens, and Julie Epp (Julily Art).
The Art of Reading is coming to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40, and can be purchased at the Centre Box Office, online at chilliwackculturalcentre.ca, or by calling 604-391-SHOW(7469).
