Paintings, hand-crafted items for sale at Cultus Lake art show

Golden Palette Club’s annual fall art show and sale coming up at Cultus Lake Community Hall

A local art club is hosting its annual art show and sale in Cultus Lake this fall.

Members of the Golden Palette Club will have their artwork and other handmade items for sale at their art exhibition on Oct. 5 at the Cultus Lake Community Hall.

There will be about 70 to 80 original paintings done in various mediums (oils, acrylic, pastel) along with other creative works by the artists such as soaps and perfumes, paverpol statues, crocheted items, hand-painted coasters/trivets, paddles, cards and prints.

The Golden Palette Club currently has about 30 members.

“We would like to let Chilliwack know we are an active, creative group producing some wonderful artwork,” said member Rosalee Carruthers.

The Golden Palette Club’s annual art show and sale is Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Cultus Lake Community Hall (4220 Columbia Valley Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will be able to accept cash, cheques and Visa/Mastercard at the show. Goodies and beverages will be served.
