A Chilliwack community chorus is welcoming new singers to join their group as they gear up for their spring concert.
Directed by Paula Quick, the Philomusica Chorus is recruiting new members of all capabilities.
The singers are preparing their spring concert which will feature show tunes, operetta choruses, folk songs and music hall selections that, from a 21st century perspective, range from breathtaking to downright hilarious, Quick said.
Their winter-spring semester starts on Monday, Jan. 20 and new singers can join up until Feb. 10. Rehearsals will be on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Studio C at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.
"Sight-reading is not a requirement, but an asset for sure."
