It'll be a lineup of blues, rock, and more at an intimate music venue in Chilliwack in May.
Bozzini's presents four different shows in May: Kele Fleming and Matthew Presidente, Dawn Tyler Watson, Angel Forrest, and Colin Linden.
On May 3, Fleming and Presidente are going back on the road and will be kicking off their Sun and Stars Tour, with stops in the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver, Okanagan and Kootenays.
Presidente is a rock/pop songwriter and pianist. Fleming is a Victoria folk-rock and sometimes synth wave artist. Both are members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Each show will consist of a solo set from both artists showcasing their new material along with deeper cuts from their catalogues. They will also be joining their voices to collaborate onstage duets, unique to each city. The tour, will celebrate Presidente’s new album “Chosen Sun” and Fleming’s new EP “A Bowlful of Stars” (coming this year).
Montreal-based singer/songwriter Dawn Tyler Watson makes her Chilliwack debut on May 13. Her blues music is infused with jazz, soul, rock, and gospel, and she will be accompanied by Steve Strongman.
With two recent Maple Blues Awards – Songwriter of the Year, and Best Album/Producer – she was also nominated by the Blues Foundation in Memphis for a 2020 Blues Music Award for Vocalist of the Year. Her latest record “Mad Love,” was awarded the 2020 Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year.
On May 24, Angel Forrest returns for two shows, with her partner Denis Coulombe.
She will be performing her brand-new show for the 2025 tour, Still Here for You, a celebration of the 20th anniversary of her album Here for You. This concert is a journey filled with love, inspiration, and heartfelt emotion, delivered in an intimate acoustic setting that highlights the depth of her talent.
Multiple Grammy winner Colin Linden returns to Bozzini’s on May 26 and 27. Tickets were sold out at press time but there is a waiting list.
