Fatburger newest restaurant to add 'sizzle' to redeveloped Chilliwack mall site

Chilliwack location is the first new restaurant in Canada for 2025

Fatburger is the newest chain restaurant to throw open its doors in Chilliwack.

The burger chain opened on Friday (Jan. 17), at 45610 Luckakuck Way, as part of the redevelopment of what was once Chilliwack Mall.

"There is a new sizzle in Chilliwack," a Fatburger press release said, adding that it is the first new Canadian location of 2025.  It is Fatburger’s 68th location in Canada.

“You can feel the energy in the air when you walk into this place,” said Raymond Ho, vice president of marketing at FDF Brandz. “There is something magical about watching new franchise owners pour their hearts into bringing these incredible burgers to their community – it’s contagious, and our customers can taste that passion in every bite.”

The press release says the location will be helmed by Steve and Beatrice Ingel, "whose entrepreneurial journey takes an exciting turn after years of retail success."

While the burger business is new to the Ingels, they are committed to customer service.

"We’re ready to serve up joy, one juicy burger at a time. Chilliwack – get ready because these burgers are going to blow you away.”

Fatburger uses fresh, never frozen, Alberta beef that is hand-pressed and cooked to order on the grill. They also serve up fried chicken sandwiches, World Famous Buffalo’s wings and hand-battered chicken tenders, along with milkshakes, fries and freshly prepared onion rings.
