LETTER: Fear is a cause for divisiveness

‘Scientific idea behind vaccines is that they give our immune system a blueprint of an invader’

The scientific idea behind vaccines is that they give our immune system a blueprint of an invader.

Knowing what this invader looks like allows our immune system to easily identify the attacker and quickly fight and contain it, otherwise being vaccinated would be of no use while only carrying dangers of possible adverse side effects.

According to the scientific bases for vaccinations, those of us who have chosen to be vaccinated are now protected against such an invader, and we do not need to live in fear of a virus that statistically only severely affects less than two per cent of our population.
