Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Chorus performs magic with Mozart’ Requiem

I attended the most wonderful event on Saturday night. The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Chorus performed Mozart’s Requiem. I think I am very hard to please, but from the opening phrase to the final dying notes, I was transported as I listened fearlessly to every sound.

I attended the most wonderful event on Saturday night. The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Chorus performed Mozart’s Requiem. I think I am very hard to please, but from the opening phrase to the final dying notes, I was transported as I listened fearlessly to every sound.

My very soul felt truly thrilled and deeply satisfied.

Paula DeWit wielded a tough and inspired baton as she deftly took us through Mozart’s heart-breaking sadness and despairing conflicts to the final redemption, peace and joy.

This work, Mozart’s last message to the world, was brilliantly served. The lovely soloists were superbly supported by an able and responsive choir and orchestra who had clearly rehearsed hard to this professional level of work.

The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Chorus is truly the musical pride of Chilliwack.
