Two killed in overnight collision in Abbotsford

Police say pickup truck crashed into telephone pole, flipped

Two occupants of a pickup truck died in a crash at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday (March 13) in Abbotsford.

Two were killed in a single-vehicle crash on King Road in Abbotsford overnight. 

According to a news release from the Abbotsford Police Department, a pickup truck struck a telephone pole and flipped over before 12:36 a.m. on Thursday (March 13). 

Emergency services responded and discovered the two occupants of the truck were suffering from life-threatening injuries. 

"Despite the immediate efforts of civilians and first responders, both occupants tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene," police said. 

King Road remains closed between Clearbrook Road and Columbia Street as of 7 a.m.

APD is investigating the crash with the help of the Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service (ICARS).
