With spring in full swing, now’s the perfect time to delve into your creativity with the Chilliwack Community Arts Council’s May and June class schedule.
All sessions are held in the vibrant Art Room space and offer artists of all skill levels the opportunity to add a splash of flair to their artistic repertoire.
Young creative minds will discover hours of artistic exploration with Kids Get Messy, Spring into Colour, Funny Faces, and Clay Confections’ playful mix of hands-on, multi-media art creation in an atmosphere that encourages artists in the making to stretch their creative muscles.
Jewellery lovers will find new ways to express their style with techniques taught in Inked Copper Pendant and Earrings, and Chainmaille Bracelet as well as Brangle:The Wired Bracelet Bangle, where students learn to create a brand new category of jewellery design combining the ease of a bangle with the design possibilities of a bracelet.
Adult Birch artists will recreate the beauty of the birch tree using simple yet unexpected techniques and guests of Corks and Canvas will bring canvases to life with a glass of wine in hand to get the creative juices flowing.
Artists of a drawing disposition will sharpen their skills with Adult Drawing Basics’ focus on line, negative/positive space, value, texture, and composition.
Completing the class line-up, those interested in learning classic fabric arts will enjoy Embroidery for Beginners, Learn to Knit, and Advanced Crochet.
Handmade Samosas will impress foodies with exotic flavours, satisfying textures and colourful, healthy ingredients wrapped up in a delectable snack perfect for any get together.
