The Greatish Show on Earth comes to Chilliwack

On Oct. 26 Wes Barker will baffle audiences with amazing illusions and immpressive physical feats

What do you have when you combine astonishing acts of magic, mix in an assortment of crazy stunts, and add in the delightfully charismatic personality of Wes Barker? Why, The Greatist Show on Earth, of course.

On October 26, come and see Wes Barker as he baffles audiences with amazing illusions and impressive physical feats. Originally from Langley, Barker’s career has lead him not only across the globe, but has also added numerous TV credits to his name. He is well known from his appearances on America’s Got Talent, Wizard Wars, MTV’s Greatest Party Stories Ever, The Comedy Network, SyFy Network and Penn & Teller: Fool Us – where he did indeed fool them.

“Going on Penn & Teller and fooling them was pretty much my crowning achievement so far… but my YouTube channel having some serious success has also been a huge benchmark,” said Barker.

With over 110,000 subscribers on YouTube and nearly 50,000,000 views, it’s not hard to see how enigmatic Barker’s content is. Each performance has allowed him to refine his style of magic and comedy, and define it into something uniquely his own.

Not fully a magician and not fully a stand-up comic, but an amazing mix of both, Barker has created his very own style.

“I do everything. My goal is to keep everyone laughing. Sometimes it’s with impressive physical feats or amazing sleight of hand, but normally it’s acts of showing off! I guarantee that everyone will have a fantastic time,” Barker explained.

“People who like magic, they are going to like the show and they’re going to find it surprisingly funny. People who like comedy are going to be blown away (by) how funny I am, and they’re going to enjoy watching a bit of magic. It’s a show for everyone.”

What makes the performance at the Centre something all its own is Barker’s intention to film the performance for a television special. Bold, powerful and delivered with a hilarious comedic flair, Barker has masterfully created a not to be missed show that will leave you mystified.

The Greatish Show on Earth with Wes Barker is coming to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on October 26, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Centre Box Office, online at www.chilliwackculturalcentre.ca, or by calling 604-391-SHOW(7469).
