Squamish Valley Music Festival will return for its fifth year in August, and with an all-star, award-winning lineup – adding another B.C. bright light to the summer's map of North American outdoor shows, with Pemberton, Sasquatch, Coachella, Boonstock, and more.

The lineup for this year's Squamish festival was released on Thursday. Mumford & Sons, Drake, and Sam Smith will headline the concert south of Whistler, joined by Of Monsters and Men, Alabama Shakes, Brandon Flowers, and Kaskade, among many others.

In total, 70 artists were perform at the three-day show, August 7-9 on Squamish's Loggers Lane.

(The festival posted its full lineup to Instagram today, Feb. 19, 2015.)

"We believe today's festival-goer is looking for diversity in the line-up but are also looking to discover new artists," said Erik Hoffman, the senior vice-president of Live Nation Canada, in a press release Thursday. "This year's programming embodies this spirit. Artists accessible enough for all music fans but cutting edge enough for the most discernible music critic."

The festival says over 105,000 people attended the 2014 show, and they estimate it contributed over $32 million of "economic impact" for the city and region.

This year's festival is sponsored chiefly by Virgin Mobile, among other companies like Bacardi, Budweiser, Topshop, Somersby, Brita, and producers Blueprint, brand.LIVE, and Live Nation.

"The 2014 Festival saw unprecedented growth and success across all areas, including security, transportation, camping and medical services – all with tremendous support from the Squamish community," said the show's executive producer and the VP of brand.LIVE, Paul Runnals.

"We're building off that momentum again this year with another incredible lineup, continued improvements being made to Festival infrastructure and logistics based on feedback from our festival-goers."
