Next up at the Acoustic Emporium is Norm Strauss with opening music by Kellen Saip on Friday.

Strauss is a concert/recording artist who has toured extensively in Canada, Europe and parts of the U.S. He has recorded 15 full-length solo recording projects and appeared on eight compilation and live compilation projects released both here in Canada and Europe, including a stint as a contestant on "The Voice" Germany.

Strauss has written hundreds of songs some which have been published internationally and recorded by numerous artists around the world. His concerts have been described a ‘journey of the heart’ accompanied by world class finger-style guitar, vocal and story telling. If you are not familiar with Norm's brand of eclectic roots/americana/blues style music you owe it to yourself to listen in to the conversation.

Kellen Saip's music gently fuses folk and blues with subtle undertones of faith and soul that derived from his family gospel roots.

His old soul but forever young mentally helps explore a melodic guitar sound mixed with organically adapting vocals that can one minute be sweet, savory and haunting and the next minute raspy and piercing to the soul.

His songs tell of a journey of heartache, bliss, love lost and love gained that can be relatable to all hearts that are still beating.

Norm Strauss and Kellen Saip perform Friday, March 10 at the Acoustic Emporium (45892 Wellington Ave.). Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets $12 at the door.
