Fuel your creativity with TARA. The Chilliwack Community Arts Council has brought back The Art Room Artists (TARA), a weekly drop-in arts group that is open to all skill levels.

Amateur and professional artists alike gather to create art in a collaborative atmosphere at the Art Room (20-5725 Vedder Road) on Friday afternoons, beginning Feb. 5.

These TARA sessions create a unique opportunity to share ideas, techniques, and sources of inspiration while networking with fellow Chilliwack artists.

The sessions are free to join, but all artists are required to bring along their own paintbrushes, canvases, papers and tools of the trade.

Heading up the TARA group is the talented Warren Halm, an artist and active volunteer who loves to share his knowledge of painting and drawing with fellow artistic souls. As former facilitator of Warren's Art Workshops at the CEED Community Centre in Maple Ridge, Halm is uniquely suited to guide participants through their artistic endeavours, while offering encouragement and inspiration.

The drop-in studio times are offered from 1 to 5 p.m. every Friday. Stop by and watch artists at work or join in and create your own painted masterpiece.

For more information about the group please visit chilliwackartscouncil.com, or call 604-769-ARTS (2787). Coffee and tea will be provided for participants.
