Greendale Pottery is hosting a holiday open house at its new location this weekend and next.
People are invited to visit potter Holly McKeen’s new studio in Riverstone Heights.
McKeen specializes in crystalline-glazed pottery, a technique where crystal growth in the glaze becomes visible as it goes through its firing.
She will have new exquisite crystalline-glazed porcelain pieces in the studio with new effects and colours, as well as old favourites. Her crystalline pottery includes Christmas ornaments, mugs, vases, trays and bowls.
Plenty of stoneware will also be for sale in our four favourite glaze combos: cinnamon swirl, black and white, beach, and tundra. Bowls, tea sets, trays, mugs, wine cups, pitchers, and more are available.
Greendale Pottery’s holiday open house is Friday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
They are located at 110-45473 Ariel Pl. Look for the ‘studio open’ sign and head down the stairs to the left of the main door.
