Returning to the Cultural Centre’s main stage on March 11 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., this classic fairytale bursts into life as the incredibly talented young cast charms the audience.

Presented by The Chilliwack Arts and Cultural Centre Society, this Opera is based on Engelbert Humperdinck’s full length version and is sure to thrill patrons of all ages with an English adaptation of the timeless fable.

Visually breathtaking, comical and with an incredible music score, this high energy show is the perfect introduction for the whole family to experience the thrill of a big opera production.

Beautifully portrayed through powerful songs and stunning visuals, audience members are sure to be enthralled by the Edwardian inspired set.

This Opera is a perfect fit with today’s popular gothic style stories, the Hansel and Gretel story of a struggling family living on the edge of a dark wood, inhabited by a witch or ogre creature who baits children with a candy house fits right into today’s popular entertainment.
