Chilliwack’s junior roller derby league has undergone a rebranding and now they’re looking for an artist to create a new logo for them.

Fraser Valley Fury Junior Roller Derby (formerly known as NWO Junior Roller Derby) recently changed its name.

“We as a league, members of the Fraser Valley felt it was time for change – inclusive of all of our children and families,” said head coach Suzanne Gardiner.

“We invite any local artists to join us in this new journey and submit a logo design for us to promote this community-driven sport.”

The Fraser Valley Fury Junior Roller Derby is described as “a community-based, diverse-member sport inclusive of all children that is dedicated to teaching the sport of roller derby and the importance of healthy body image, positive minds and personal empowerment.”

The league aims to bridge the gaps of acceptance and inclusivity, Gardiner added.

Logo submissions will be accepted until Friday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. Questions and submissions can be sent to nwojuniorderby@gmail.com.
