A magic show will bring in some much-needed funds for two Chilliwack women’s shelters impacted by the Fraser Valley floods.

Royal LePage Wheeler Cheam Realty presents Chris Funk ‘The Wonderist’ for the Dec. 17 fundraiser Redefining Wonder.

“Recent flooding across the Lower Mainland has been devastating for women’s shelters already struggling to keep women and children safe through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” reads the event page. “Flood damage, evacuations, and emergency supplies are all incredibly costly and revenue at many shelters is down due to the cancellation of countless fundraising events in 2020 and 2021.”

Redefining Wonder is both in-person and online on Friday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. Funds raised will go toward Wilma’s Transition Society and Ann Davis Transition Society.

Tickets to the in-person show held at College Street Victory Church Theatre (9525 College St. in Chilliwack) are $38.15 plus service fee, and tickets to the online event are by donation (minimum $15).

“Local women’s shelters need our support now more than ever to continue providing life-saving services to families who have been affected first by violence and now also by this weather crisis.”
