Festival-goes attend the 2023 Brewhalla event in the Cloverdale Agriplex. This year, organizers are making the beer fest into more of a party-atmosphere event.

Another halloween-themed beerfest is set for the Cloverdale Fairgrounds.

After the success of last year’s Brewhalla event just before Halloween, Red Door Events, the company hosting the Brewhalla festivals, announced an event called “Booohalla” will take place Nov. 2.

Red Door Events is billing Booohalla as “a party edition spin” on the well-known Brewhalla event series.

“We’ve been thinking about an event like this for a while,” Lise Reimer, of Red Door Events, said in a press release. “Grab your friends and start planning your costumes now.”

Different from the regular Brewhalla Festivals where there are 25 different vendors, Booohalla is not a tasting event.

“This new event will see 2,000 people together in the Cloverdale Agriplex for a night of costumes, craft beverages, contests, food trucks, DJs, and of course, a giant dance party,” notes a press release from the company.

“Instead, they’re bringing it back to the OG party days where all you needed was good music, good drinks, good friends and a killer dance floor.”

Booohalla-goers will be able to purchase pints of craft beer and cider. There will also be canned drink options available.

This will be the third year in a row Red Door has hosted a beer fest on the Faigrounds. This year, just as last year, organizers are encouraging attendees to dress up in their finest Halloween costumes.

Festival tickets can be purchased online. Early bird tickets, going for $25, will be capped at 250. General admission tickets are $30. VIP Party Packs are going for $1,000. The party pack includes: 10 tickets, $100 in food truck bucks, a private seating area, snack packs, and 20 drink tickets.

According to brewhalla.ca, the festival series was “born out of a passion to bring people together to celebrate local beer, music and food.”

Brewhalla Craft Beverage & Music Festivals held several festivals across the Lower Mainland this year and will wrap its 2024 festival season in Cloverdale.

Brewhalla runs from 6 - 12 a.m. Nov. 2 at the Agriplex (17798 62 Avenue, Cloverdale). The Agriplex can hold 2,800 for the event.
