Who doesn’t love a good love story?

Chilliwack resident Julie Adamson is looking to thank the generous Chilliwack couple, who were so kind to her son and his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.

Rilie, 17, and Brianna, 18, were enjoying a quiet, romantic dinner at Frankie’s.

“They were both so excited to get dressed up and go for a Valentine’s dinner,” Adamson wrote in her Feb. 14 post on a local page. She chauffeured them, and picked them up from the restaurant.

When they jumped back in the vehicle they had a wonderful, heartwarming story to tell.

“I guess when my son went to pay for the dinner, the waitress told him he was in luck and that a very nice couple had already paid for their entire dinner!”

They’d obviously been quite taken by the young couple in love, all dressed up, and enjoying a special dinner, they felt compelled to pick up the tab.

Adamson put the word out that if the generous couple read the story about them she wanted to let them know how grateful they all were. She‘d even like to thank them in person. “Ok, this might be a long shot, but I thought I’d try,” she wrote.

The comments under her post are so uniformly positive and complimentary, like the one who wrote: “Who doesn’t love a good love story?”

The icing on the cake? It turns out Monday kicked off ‘Random Acts of Kindness Week,’ so the local act of generosity was even timely.

And the younger couple has a message of profound gratitude for the couple as well since that night in the restaurant is now one they’ll never forget:

“Thank you so much. We are so grateful for this kind gesture, we really appreciate it. It made our night!”
